The Groxx GGRXEMB800 is a heavy-duty, fail-safe electromagnetic brake engineered specifically for 800 kg capacity traction hoists. Installed on the primary motor shaft, the GGRXEMB800 serves as the principal holding and parking brake for suspended access platforms and swing stages. Designed on a “fail-safe” power-off principle, it automatically engages whenever electrical power is cut or interrupted, instantly locking the hoist drive mechanism to prevent accidental descent.
Primary Functions
  • Fail-Safe Holding & Parking: Applies immediate holding torque when de-energized, locking the suspended load securely in place at rest or during power outages.
  • Dynamic Emergency Arrest: Rapidly decelerates and stops the 800 kg load in the event of an emergency stop trigger or electrical fault.
  • Controlled Manual Release: Features an integrated manual release lever allowing operators to safely release the brake and lower the platform during emergency power loss scenarios.
